We are only one week away from the biggest shopping day of the year. After eating turkey and dressing and visiting with family, it's time to get started on our Christmas Gift List. A Blessed Thing wants to give our shoppers plenty of reasons to logon to our store on Black Friday, to get some great deals on gifts that will be a blessing to whoever receives them. Starting Monday November 22nd - Friday November 26th, I will be releasing one new video each day to highlight products from the store that will make your Christmas giving a breeze. I will even have some products that will be brand new to the site.
Then starting on Black Friday November 26 - Monday November 29 we will offer "FREE SHIPPING" on all orders as well as 15% OFF with the coupon code to be given out on the upcoming videos. You do not want to miss this opportunity to save on some great gifts for Christmas.
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to encourage each of you to truly reflect on what you are thankful for. For alot of folks it has been a tough year financially or perhaps even the loss of a loved one but if you really look at your life, you will see areas that God has brought you through, you will see family and friends who have loved and stood by you. I suggest that you savour every minute of your life and this Thanksgiving give thanks to the Lord for all He has done for you, and all the great things He is planning for your future.
Happy Thanksgiving From A Blessed Thing,
Stephanie

The Blessing of Today
We here at A Blessed Thing are gearing up for the Holiday Season and have added our Christmas Items to the store. You will find all kinds of great decorations, gift ideas and maybe even a little something for you. We will also be adding new Christmas items every week through December 13th. so, stop on by each week and check out our new items.
We seem to rush through life living everyday just to make it until tomorrow, all the while missing out on the blessing of today. Our days seems to go like this: Wake up ( mostly too early) eat a bite of breakfast and perhaps sip a cup of coffee on the way to work. Drive to work and hopefully it is only a short distance but for most people about 30-45 min. and while they are driving try to avoid being hit, run over or sideswiped by all the other drivers trying to get to work just like us. Get to work on time, if there hasn't been a backup today which for most freeway drivers is at least twice a week. Make it through the day at a job that you either can't stand or tolerate because you really need to be able to eat. Once the day is over, head back out in the traffic, get home, eat dinner, go to bed. UGH! I hope your days are not like this.
What your day should look like:
Wake up and pray for the Lord to Bless your day and give you favor.
Play a Christian CD or Christian radio while you get through traffic or just spend more time talking to the Lord.
When you get to work, thank God for your job and that he will promote you and lead you into the positions that you should have but be content in the state that you are in. Do your work as unto the Lord.
Once you get home make it a point to relax for some time before bed, go for a run, a walk or read a good book or the Bible.
Go to bed once you have thanked the Lord for the day that He gave you.
Don't miss the blessings of everyday just trying to make it through til the next. Look for beauty of the master's hand in the sunrise, sunset, trees, laughter, a friend, family and that the Lord just loves you so very much.
One word..................CONTEST!............................Yea!! We will be giving away a free red bling cross top to the person who gets the most people to follow us on Facebook. For your friends who are on Facebook just share the site with them and have them post a message on A Blessed Thing wall telling me that you sent them. On your mark.. get set.. go........

An Unknown Blessing
Hello my Blessed Bloggers,
Hope your weekend was a blessed one. I am loving this beautiful Texas weather in the Fall and speaking of Fall, I would like to introduce you to our new Seasonal Section on the store. Right now we are highlighting items for Fall and gearing up to release our Christmas Items on November 1st. You will find decorative Leaf Bowls, Thomas Kinkade Throws and Wallhangings, some great Fall Fashions, and more.
Don't forget that we are still offering the 20% off discount on the entire store, just enter the coupon code " ablessedthingcoupon ".
Sometimes in life we feel that we are not very blessed. We have those days when we feel a little less than what God says we really are. We are overwhelmed by the things that life throws our way. You may have been overlooked at work while a co-worker got promoted, you may be going through a battle with sickness or even have an addiction, you may not be on speaking terms with a loved one or hurt by someone whom you trusted and love. Regardless of what you are going through, remember that you are "GOING THROUGH". God is still there, even in the midst of your trouble. I am taken back to a story in the Bible of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were thrown into the fire for not bowing down to the idol, they chose to stay true to the one living God and worship Him alone. When they were in the fire, so was the Lord. Remember, no matter what fire you are going through, God is still with you and because of Him you can be blessed.

A brand new A Blessed Thing.com has finally arrived! I have been working hard for the past several weeks getting the new website up and going. Everything has changed! We have added many more products, changed our design, added a registry for those special occasions, a new blog and much more. We are offering 20% OFF EVERYTHING until the end of the month, just use the coupon code, " ablessedthingcoupon ". We will begin our weekly blog again with updates on products and a special message of encouragement.
I have learned something new about being blessed in the past couple of months and that is that others can be blessed because of you. We all tend to be a little selfish about praying for God's blessings to be on us, we ask Him to bless our day, bless our family, bless our food, bless our finances, and He will do that but if you just add a little extra to your prayer by saying, " God I ask that as you bless me, you would bless others because of me." For example, as you pray for your performance at work to be outstanding, you would receive a raise and favor, also ask that God would bless your employer as well. God will bless you but He will also bless your place of employment because of you. My husband is a handyman on the side and we go often to do various jobs but before we go we pray that God would bless the work of our hands and that our customers would be blessed as well. We were about to do a major ceramic tile job and the customers were in a hurry and about to go out of town for over a week. The tile they had ordered had just arrived the evening before they were to leave and they did not even take time to look at it. My husband said he thought it might be a good idea to go over there and lay out a few pieces just to see how they wanted it. When he got there and began to lay out the tile, it was not the tile they ordered. You see the original plan was that we would come over after they left and lay the tile by the time they got back. They would have arrived back home with the wrong tile laid unknown to us. You see God worked it all out for them because of us and our prayers, they were blessed and we were blessed as well.
God is so good and he loves His children so much that, surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. AMEN!!
I am asking that as you all visit the new website, you would go to the "Guestbook" section and leave a message for me as to what you think of the new site.
Blessings to you this week,
Stephanie
